INDIAN RIVER AMBULANCE SERVICE

Providing Quality, Compassionate, Care, When Needed Most

History of Indian River Ambulance

Indian River Ambulance Service was formed in 2010 by a group of citizens with the idea to combine ambulance services in the towns of Antwerp, Philadelphia and Theresa into one agency with the goal of providing 24/7 staffed emergency medical services to the three towns.

In December of 2010 we launched with our base of Operations at the Philadelphia Fire Department. Over the last 10 years we have continued to grow and moved into our own station at 6.5 Sand St in April 2017.

We are proud of our commitment to our community and the services we are able to provide! Currently we have 2 fully Advanced Life Support ambulances in service staffed by our volunteer Drivers, EMT's and Paramedics. We also provide many other community services such as CPR classes and Red Cross Blood Drives.

If you are a resident of the townships of Antwerp, Philadelphia or Theresa and need to be transported by ambulance from a local hospital to a facility at a distance such as Syracuse or Rochester for further treatment you can request the sending hospital contact us at (315) 642-8000 and request we transport you to the receiving hospital.
